Windy Marrie Virtue

Windy Marrie Virtue, 55, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center.  She was born in Mooresville on April 22, 1961, daughter of the late Audrey Danyels Bare. Windy attended Mooresville High School and was self-employed most of her career.  She was a member of Providence Church of the Living God.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Stacey Barnes of Statesville; a son Jake Virtue (Kendra) of Newton; four grandchildren, Bobby Virtue, Audrey, Zack, and Kylee Settlemyer; three brothers, Joseph Bare (Jane), Wade Bare (Wanda), and Josh Bare; three sisters, Sissy Hogan, Lecia Dennis, and Gay Dennis; along with numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at Providence Church of the Living God with Pastors Rik and Elaine Hamrick officiating.  A private family burial will be held at a later time.  The family will visit with friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at the church prior to the service.
