Mrs. Wilma Martin Lackey

Mrs. Wilma Martin Lackey, 98, of Statesville, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born December 25, 1920 in Alexander County, she was a daughter of the late Newton Ray Martin and Ola Warren Martin. Her husband, James Harold Lackey, preceded her in death.
She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a brother, N.K. Martin and his wife, Doris Hines Martin and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Thursday at Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dan Wilkers officiating. She will lie in state for thirty minutes at the church prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
