The Man. The Myth. The Legend. Bill departed this earth peacefully on May 6, 2015. Bill was the “Uncommon” denominator that brought friends and family together. He loved life, people, and was the most generous and classy man to walk this earth. He loved fast cars, traveling, boating, rice pudding, Law & Order, 60 Minutes, and J & B Scotch. Not necessarily in that order. Bill was a car aficionado, you never knew when he would come home with a new sports car or a new kitty for that matter, even though he knew Rainslee would care for it, there was never any advanced notice of their new family member. Bill also loved to go “ZOOM” on his boat, cooking his famous Ribs, making everyone feel appreciated and welcome and he had a knack for buying unique gifts for his wife Rainslee (if anyone ever needs a moist toilette, she has some). When it came to taxes, Bill was one of the best in the business, he loved it. Bill also loved to tell stories. You could be sure at least half of every story was true, you just never knew which half. Bill served as a Combat Veteran in the U.S. Army, was a devout supporter of the Shriners, a Member and past President of Delta Sigma Phi at Stetson University. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Rainslee; Mother-in-law, Lee Rinderman; cousin, Ginny Millward (Janet); Siblings, Bruce (Karla), Roger, James (Linda), Nancy, and Jayne; Nieces and Nephews, Erin, Lucas, Juliette, Clinton, Bret, Chad, Jalin, Janie, Jeb, Reagan; and Godson, Theo. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County or the Shriners. A Memorial Service with military honors provided by the Iredell County Veterans Burial Detail will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
