Wayne Eugene Cross

LEXINGTON-Mr. Wayne Eugene Cross, 73, passed away July 29, 2021 at his home in Lexington, NC. Mr. Cross was born July 17, 1948 in Lexington to the late John Arvil and Jean Walker Cross. He was self-employed in the logging and sawmill business for over 30 years. Wayne proudly served our country in the 11th Armored Calvary of the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam war. He was a loving father and husband. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cross is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Libby Mahala Cross and brother Ricky John Cross. He is survived by his son James Cross (Angela) of Lexington. Burial with military honors will be at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
