Wanda Lee Douglas was called home by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House. Wanda was born in Princeton, IN on May 25, 1928 and was the daughter of Thomas G. Bammer and Nina P. Bammer. She was a graduate of Princeton H.S. and attended Perdue University before marrying Harry G. Douglas in 1948. In addition to raising her two children, Kathy and Thomas, Wanda was proud to be a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in the “Sweet Adelines” for several years. Wanda was also known for her wonderful cooking and enjoyed preparing home-made meals for her family and guests. Above all, Wanda had deep faith and love for Jesus. Wanda was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Harry as well as her daughter, Kathy Mills. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Bonnie Douglas and her granddaughter, Jacqueline Douglas, all of Statesville. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Melvin Mills of Ocala, FL. Services will be at a later date in Princeton, IN.
