Walter James Royds

Walter James Royds, born on June 13, 1943, in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on January 30, 2025, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, at the age of 81.

Walter dedicated his professional life to the open road, working diligently as a truck driver. His commitment to his work was evident through the many years he spent ensuring that crucial goods reached their destinations safely and on time.

Outside of his career, Walter found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for camping, relishing the tranquility and adventure that nature provided. He also enjoyed spending quiet moments engaging his mind with crossword puzzles. Dining out brought him happiness, where he shared meals and conversations with family and friends.

Walter is preceded in death by his father, Walter James Royds, his mother, Angelini, and his brother, Jerry Royds. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory; his daughter Jacqueline Weil, and his sons Jimmy Royds, Joey Royds, and John Royds.

Though he has departed from this world, Walter's spirit and legacy live on through those who knew and loved him. A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at a later date. His family and friends will gather to remember a man whose life was well-lived and whose presence will be dearly missed.
