Mrs. Virginia Welch Davidson, 93 passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 She was born on September 25, 1921 in High Point, NC to the late Edgar Harmon Welch and Prim Aldridge Welch. She graduated from High Point Senior High School, class of 1939. She married the love of her life, Tom Davidson, on June 7, 1942. She was a homemaker and loved to work in her yard with her flowers. She made fudge and raised orchids which she gave away at Easter to friends. She loved reading and crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Welch and Harry Welch of Salisbury, a sister, Louise Welch Walker of High Point, and nephew, Charles Welch of Salisbury. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Tondra Davidson Moose and husband Jim ("my boy") of Winston-Salem and two beloved granddaughters, Heather Moose Naper and husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC and Stacey Moose Smith and husband Bill of Winston-Salem, NC, five wonderful great grandchildren, Alex, Matthew and Thomas Naper and Sarah and Will Smith, and nephews Derek Flanagan, Craig Flanagan, Brookie Walker, Harry Welch, Jr. and Walter Welch, nieces Gail Bolduc, Ann Stuart Welch and Sandra Welch, and a special adopted niece Lorna Poon. She loved her family so much and thought she was blessed. Her greatest joy was being with her family. The family will meet with friends at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 5 in Memorial Hall of Broad Street United Methodist Church followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary.
