Mrs. Vicky Diane Wooten Rhodes, 58, of Harmony, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. She had been battling Scleroderma for 23 years. Mrs. Rhodes was born in Iredell County on February 4, 1957, and was the daughter of the late John and Nancy Sipes Wooten. She was a graduate of North Iredell High School and on February 24, 2001, she married Dusty Rhodes, who survives. Mrs. Rhodes was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, Dusty, Vicky is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Harmon (Tommy) of Hiddenite and Yvette Leazer of Cornelius, a step-son, Justin Rhodes of Nichols, NY and two step-daughters, Brittany Byers of Cornelius and Ashley Nichols of Statesville. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristen and Justin Harmon, and Remington Rhodes along with two brothers, Michael Wooten of Dallas, NC and Daniel Wooten of Colorado. A great granddaughter, Hailey Harmon and a nephew, Michael Wooten, along with numerous cousins and special friends also survive. Funeral services honoring the life of Vicky Rhodes will be conducted Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Eanes officiating. A private burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery prior to the services.
