Treva Anne Flinchum Hooper, 95, of Statesville, died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Mapleleaf Health Care Center. Born in Surry County on December 2, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Henderson Flinchum and Cora Boyles Flinchum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell White Hooper, a son, James Mitchell Hooper, and sisters: Mallie Campbell, Ona Marlow, Opal Evans and two infant sisters along with a brother, Bert Flinchum.
She was a homemaker, a member of Calvary Community Church and loved sewing and animals.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Carson and her husband, Steve, and a sister, Vera Lackey.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Coley officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
