Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Clyde Williams, 85, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Rosewood Assisted Living. � Mr. Williams was born in Iredell County on October 2, 1929, and was the son of the late Clyde L. Williams and Florence Reid Williams. He was a graduate of Union Grove High School and he attended Appalachian State University. On April 15, 2007, he married Elaine Campbell Williams, who survives. Mr. Williams was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and a member of the North Iredell Ruritan Club. He was a well-known self-employed dairy farmer. He was a good Christian, hardworking, and well respected man who loved his Lord and his family. Mr. Williams started with five cows in 1956 and with hard work and dedication, progressed in to T.C. Williams Farm, Inc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Williams and brother-in-law, Thomas Barker. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Williams of the home, three sons, Benny Williams (Lilli) and Charlie Williams (Suzanne), and Eddie Williams (Diane) along with one daughter, Jean Williams Redmond (Tony). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Laura, Jessica, Eric, and David Williams, Corey Williams (Nichole), Matthew, Timothy, and Elizabeth Redmond along with two sisters, Imogene W. Barker and Ann W. White (Jim), all of Union Grove, NC. He is further survived by two step-sons, Barry Templeton (Pattie) and Mike Templeton (Cindy) both of Statesville along with his former wife, Hilda Harmon Williams of Union Grove. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014, at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Ray Williams, Rev. Dwight Dowell, and Rev. Josh Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home.
