Tommy F. Jones

Thomas (Tommy) Franklin Jones, 62, of Statesville, died February 29, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born June 11, 1953 in Iredell County, he was a son of the late James (Jim) Thomas Jones and Dorris Christine Neighbors Jones.  He was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church and employed by Thomasville Furniture. He enjoyed jogging, bike riding, music and sports. Survivors include a sister, Lindsay Bumgarner of Statesville, nephews: Ryan Bumgarner and Casey Bumgarner (Caela), a niece, Shannon Wilhelm (Bradley), great nephews: Austin, Hunter and Landon Wilhelm and great nieces: Cayden and Chloe Bumgarner along with extended family and special cousins. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Spry officiating.  The family will speak with friends at the cemetery following the service.
