Thomas Dewey Waugh

Mr. Thomas Dewey Waugh, 68, of Troutman, died Friday, February 3, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Iredell County on September 18, 1948, he was a son of the late Dewey M. Waugh and Ellen Poole Waugh. On August 5, 1972 he married the former Vickie L. Reinhardt who died June 18,2016. Mr. Waugh was a disability retired brick mason from Alan Johnson Masonry He attended Troutman schools. He was a hard worker who enjoyed helping those in need. His family was very important to him and he set a good example for how to live life to all who knew him. Survivors include sons: David T. Waugh, Jeffrey R. Williams, Hubert L. Williams and Donnie R. Williams, a  daughter, Joyce L. Murray along with a brother, Robert L. Waugh (Betty). 14 Grandchildren and  14  great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by brothers: William (Buddy) Waugh, J. D. (Tootie) Waugh, James M. Waugh, Eugene Waugh and a sister, Elsie Compton, and a daughter-in-law. Laurie Williams. Funeral services for Mr. Waugh are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rabon Riddle and Rev. Arnold Dulin  officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Jesse Williams, Josh Williams, Jake Rollings, TC Rollings, KC Williams, Travis Williams and Darren Mason. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to the family to www.nicholsonfunerals.com . Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to the Troutman Fire & Rescue Squad, 125 N. Main St. Troutman, N.C. 28166. Nicholson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
