Margaret Theresa Brown Moose, 78, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Moose was born July 22, 1935 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Holland B. Brown and Carrie Milstead Brown. She was a graduate of Scotts High School and received her Master's Degree from Anitoch College in Ohio. On January 1, 1956, she was married to the late Kenneth Jack Moose, who passed away Oct. 16, 2008. Jack and Theresa were members of Concord Presbyterian Church, where she loved to sing in the church choir along with the Mitchell Community College Choir. She worked for J.C. Penney Distribution Center, Flexnit, and retired from Lucent Technology. She was an avid reader and was known as a lady who "knew a little about a lot of things". Over the years she gave generously of her time and money to her church and various charities. Mrs. Moose is survived by two daughters, Salina L. Moose of Nags Head, NC, Rhona M. Williams (Timothy) of Statesville, four grandchildren, Jennifer W. Ayers (Michael), Anna G. Money, Sarah E. Davidson (Ryan), Christopher A. Bolick (Sonja), one son-in-law, Robert Steven Money, one great granddaughter, Olivia Dawn Davidson, one brother, Lannie Brown (Jean) of Troutman NC and a special family friend, Shirley Little. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Dawn Moose Money. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kyle Goodman and Rev. Stephen Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
