� Teresa Hope Nash, 53, always the artist, died on April 7 , 2014 surrounded by her loved ones at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C. After many years battling a rare liver disease called Budd-Chiari Syndrome, she is finally at peace. She was born September 24th, 1960 in Statesville, a daughter of Betty Bowles and the late Kenneth Hope. Graduated from North Iredell High School Class of 1978 and then received an Associate Degree of Fine Arts at Mitchell Community College. She saw beauty wherever she looked and where there was none, she created it. Her colorful gardens, stained glass pieces, and quilt making were masterpieces to be admired. Teresa's skillful work was created from the hands of a gentle, humble and compassionate woman. Through Teresa's loving eyes, she crafted the most unique and exquisite pieces of jewelry; sharing such pieces of beaded artwork at local art n craft shows, at weddings of loved ones, and at stores Grapevine Alley and Faison & O'Neal, Black Mountain, N.C. One needs to look no further than her home and garden to see the beauty she created. Vibrant colors and intricate petal designs created a magical garden where all who visited felt a special connection to nature. Teresa Hope Nash is the definition of a strong woman. She is remembered by her infectious smile, colorful personality and love for life itself. She was a remarkable role model, church member and friend to all, as she met no stranger. She is survived by husband, Scott Nash; a daughter, Myranda Hope Nash of Brevard NC; mother, Betty Bowles; brother Timothy Hope; father and mother-in-law, Bud and Emily Nash; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Laura Jordan; nephew, wife and son, Chauncy, Meredith and Ben Jordan. In addition she leaves her puppy Nikkos and cat Bootsie. She is preceded in death by her beloved father Kenneth Hope and her favorite Maltese, Ceasar. Visitation hours are Wednesday April 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Nicholson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Thursday April 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant ARP Church with Pastor Jeff Jacobs officiating. Active pallbearers will be Norman Hope, Johnny Lee Hope, Gilbert Bowles, Don Lambert, Nelson Dellinger, and Chauncy Jordan.
