Teresa Carter Niblock went to be with the lord on May 19, 2016. Teresa was born in Statesville on February 12, 1953 to the late Calvin Haywood Carter and Peggy Mitcham Carter. She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband Lynn S. Niblock Sr. and her children Brandy Michelle Niblock and L. Scott Niblock Jr. Teresa was a graduate of North Iredell High School Class of 1971 and was married to Lynn Scott Niblock on June 19, 1971. They had almost 45 years of marriage before her passing. She was a Homemaker and a member of The Cove Church. Teresa had an infectious smile and kind heart that touched all those around her. She was a person that cared deeply for her family and friends and put the needs of others ahead of own. She influenced many by her care and compassion. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, flowers, and reading. She enjoyed reading the scriptures and had a very strong faith and personal relationship with her lord and savior Jesus Christ. While Teresa enjoyed flowers, she was also passionate about children and other causes. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lynn; a daughter, Brandy Michelle Niblock of Kernersvlle, NC; a son, L. Scott Niblock, Jr. of Statesville; a brother, Calvin H. Carter, Jr. (Kelly) of Durham; two sisters, Joan Darlene Carter (Olga Martinez) of Bradenton, FL and Alice C. Ottone (Tony) of Statesville; along with several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Jeremy Cochran and Jack Anderson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends at Nicholson Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
