Steven "Steve" Hargrove Foster

Steven "Steve" Hargrove Foster, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2023, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Born on May 27, 1950, in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late John Morrison Foster and Frances Hargrove Foster.
Steve was a graduate of Appalachian State University where he received his master's degree in public administration and a bachelor's degree in city and town administration. Steve served as Town Manager for the cities of Long Beach, NC, Banner Elk, NC, Oak Island, NC, and North Topsail, NC. He served as the Clerk of Courts for Brunswick County, NC and was the owner and operator of Foster's Market Deli in Southport, NC. Steve was a member of Oak Island Presbyterian Church where he attended and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Southport, NC. Following his career, he retired to High Rock Lake, NC.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents John Morrison and Frances Hargrove Foster. Left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Robin Schuster; his sister, Donna Stephens and her husband, David; his brother, Don Foster and his wife, Kathy; his nieces, Erin Burns and her husband, Jason, and Maggie Covington and her husband, Caleb; and nephew, Seth Foster and his wife, Beth..
A Service to celebrate Steve's life will be announced at a later date. Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel has the honor of serving the family.
