Stephen Wilson

Stephen Alan Wilson, 56, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Wilson was born June 30, 1955 in Rockingham, NC and was the son of the late Arthur Neal Wilson, Sr. and Gertrude H. Wilson. He was a graduate of Rockingham High School and was employed by Leggett & Platt/ Iredell Fiber of Statesville for the past 8 years and served a combined 20 years of service in the US Army and National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Connie Cochran Wilson of the home, one son, Derek Wilson of the home, one daughter, Stephanie Quick (David) of Rockingham, two grandchildren, Courtney and Joshua Quick, one sister, Charlotte Blevins of Rockingham, one sister-in-law, Delores Wilson of Denton, NC and many loving nieces, nephews, caring neighbors, friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Lookabill and one brother, Arthur Wilson, Jr. He will forever live on in our memories, hearts, dreams and desires as a man of great honor and integrity. He loved all those closest to him and that love has returned twofold. Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date.
