Sharon Gayle Woolard Althoff, age 74, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Hinkle Hospice House. Born on May 23, 1948, in Lancaster (Fairfield County), Ohio she was the daughter of the late William Woolard and Charlotte Fisher Woolard.
Sharon was born in Lancaster, Ohio, but was raised in Balitmore, Ohio. She was a 1966 graduate of Liberty Union High School and attended Capital University where she pursued a degree in Music. She had a real passion for music; she loved the song "Stormy Weather" by Etta James and music by the Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli.
She also loved playing golf and racquetball, even holding several records in golf throughout Ohio. Sharon truly loved and cherished her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and being involved with their different sports they were playing.
In addition to her parents, William and Charlotte Woolard, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Woolard. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michael Craft and his wife, Ryan, Corey Slonaker and his wife, Vickie, Chadd Slonaker and his wife, Josee, and Tabytha Reck and her husband, Jason; her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Colby, Colin, Truman, Camden, and Aiden; her sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Paul Clark; and her sister-in-law, Janet Woolard.
A service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at a later date in the Spring or Summer of this year. Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel has the honor of serving the family.
