Sandra Morrow Fowkes

Sandra Renee Morrow Fowkes, 56, of Asheville and formerly of Statesville, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019. Sandra was born in Iredell County on September 20, 1962 and was the daughter of the Dwight Morrow and Annie Prevette Morrow, both of who survive.
Sandra was a graduate of West Iredell High School and was of the Baptist faith.
Sandra was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S Army Reserves where she worked as a combat signaler.
Sandra was an avid reader and enjoyed the company of birds. She loved to sit outdoors reading and would feed and watch birds for hours at a time.
A service to celebrate the life of Sandra Fowkes will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 25, 2019 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Iredell County Veterans Burial Detail will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:30 until 2:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
