Ronnie Hill

Mr. Ronnie Hill, 57, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Hill was born January 3, 1956 in Raleigh, NC and he was the son of the late Ivy Hill and Lucille Powell Diamond. He attended Iredell County schools and he was a member of Pentecostal Praise and Prayer Ministries. Mr. Hill was an exceptional cook and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was a chef with the Holiday Inn Caf�. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ruth Glaspy, Eumilla Sturgis and Linda Duff. Mr. Hill is survived by one brother, Ivy Hill (Macy), one sister, Brenda Tate, two nieces, Sharon Sturgis (Paul Curry) and Mary Chambers (Nathan) along with a cousin, Eyvonne Freeman, one aunt, Mildred Barber and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Hill will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Powell and Pastor Annette Houston Officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
