Roger Alfred La Flamme

Mr. Roger Alfred La Flamme, 81, Statesville, NC died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC.                 Mr. La Flamme was born January 1, 1035 in Ware, Mass and was the son of the late Homer and Albina Martineau La Flamme. He was a graduate of Sanford High School in Maine and served in the US Navy and National Guard during the Korean War for 8 years. On March 13, 1958, he was married to the late Sara Coe La Flamme and was retired from General Dynamics Electric Boat.                 Mr. La Flamme is survived by one daughter, Gini Carter (Anthony) of Southport, NC; one son, Roger S. La Flamme (Michelle) of Cleveland, NC; one sister, Gloria Blanchette of Uncassville, CT, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.                 Graveside funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 in the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC with full military rites.                 Memorials may be made to Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail, PO Box 1621, Statesville, NC 28687 and online condolences may be made to the family at www.nicholsonfunerals.com Nicholson Funeral Home of Statesville, NC is serving the family.
