Ricky Beck

Ricky Wayne Beck, 70, of Thomasville NC, passed away on September 29, 2024. Born on April 11, 1954, Ricky dedicated his life to his family, his faith, and his community.

A beloved husband to Robin Beck for 50 years and a cherished father to son Ryan Beck and his wife Heather. Ricky was the proud grandfather to Kyarra, Addison, Alyssa, Hunter, Jacob, Hailey, and Madison and was looking forward to being a great-grandfather to Cyrus. Ricky was also an adored father to their dog Molly. He is survived by numerous cousins, including a special bond with Larry Beck and Zeba Barringer and her husband David, niece Karen Barber and husband Dwayne, and nephew Donnie Beck and wife Jamie. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Zula Beck, and his brother, Donald Samuel Beck. Ricky attended East Davidson High School, where he played percussion in the school's first marching band. His dedication to his community was evident in his career. He was the proud owner of Beck Tire & Recapping for 27 years, worked for the City of High Point, and served at Home Instead until his retirement. His commitment to his faith was unwavering. Ricky was a devoted member of Thomasville Christian Fellowship for 34 years where he taught Sunday School and was a drummer in their praise team. He also served passionately in the Davidson County Prison Ministry for 27 years, coached his son Ryan's baseball teams and granddaughter Kyarra's softball team. In addition, he was a member of the Classic Seniors Summer Bowling League and a prior member of the Salvation Army Mens Club. A service to celebrate Rickys life will be held at Thomasville Christian Fellowship on Sunday, October 6, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont in his memory, honoring his compassionate spirit and his enduring dedication to helping others.
