Rickey "Rick" Brian Harris

Rickey “Rick” Brian Harris, 60, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his residence.  He was born in Iredell County on September 13, 1956 to the late William Clay “Dood” Harris and Phyllis Harris Harris, who survives. Rick attended North Iredell High School where he was an outstanding wrestler.  He was self-employed in the construction industry most of his career.  Rick was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.  He liked Nascar racing, was a Braves fan, riding his four-wheeler, and loved his hunting dogs. Along with his mother, Phyllis, those left to cherish his memory are his life partner, Lynne Bumgarner; two sons, Brian Harris (Mandy) and Dillon Harris (Katie); a daughter, Jenna Harris (Kevin); a brother, Kevin Harris (Martha); and grandchildren, Bentley, Emma, Evelyn, Ava, and one granddaughter on the way. Funeral services will be held ­­­­3:00 pm Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Rose Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Lepley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will visit with friends following the service.
