Richard Eugene Blevins

Richard Eugene Blevins, born on April 6, 1961, in Alameda County, California, passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 63, at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Richard was a beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was born to Ronald and Melissa Blevins and spent his formative years in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he attended Tahlequah High School. Pursuing higher education, he furthered his studies at Suomi College in Hancock, Michigan.

On March 6, 1984, Richard enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with honor until his discharge on February 20, 1992. His time in the military instilled in him values of discipline and service that he carried throughout his life.

Richard accepted Christ as his Savior at Faith Christian Church, a testament to his deep faith and spiritual commitment. After being together for over 20 years, he finally married Debra Lynn Everhart on November 14, 2024, in High Point, North Carolina, marking the beginning of a cherished union.

He was a man of varied interests, finding joy in fishing, video games, music, grilling, and sports. Most importantly, he delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories through play and laughter.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Blevins, and his loving parents, Ronald and Melissa Blevins. He leaves behind his brother, Glen Blevins, his daughter, Melissa Gallegos, and his son, Richard Blevins. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Brianna Smith, Matthew Jackson, Ariana Everhart, Jacob Everhart, Isabella Everhart, Kayden Brown, Kaylee Brown, James Gallegos, Caroline Nelson, Jaelynn Gallegos, Jenesis Gallegos, and Mayson Brown. He is also survived by stepdaughters Julie, Jessica, Kasie, and Samantha; stepson Khris; and two nieces and two nephews.

No formal services are planned at this time. Richard's family and friends will remember him for his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with those around him.
