Raymond T. Crittenden, 65, passed on February 4, 2013 surrounded by his wife and daughters. Raymond was born October 20, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio, son of late Carol M. Crittenden and Claude H. Crittenden. Ray graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966 and attended Youngstown State University. He and his wife Sandra resided in Bainbridge, Ohio while raising three girls and moved to North Carolina in 2004. Ray was passionate, and a man of many words about family and his "68" Corvette (or anything with a motor). Over the years, Ray faced many challenges, demonstrating throughout amazing resilience and strength without complaint, always with a joke and a sly smile ready. While in Ohio, Ray worked for Roadway and Coca-Cola Bottling and enjoyed Pilgrim Village social events. A devoted father, he coached and traveled cross country for his daughters' soccer games. While in North Carolina, he was a charter member of the Triad Corvette Club. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Sandra Rae (Stewart) Crittenden, a sister Deborah (Tom) Keller; three daughters: Christy (Jeff) Mocny, Amy (Eric) Moore, and Cara (Michael) Dempsey; and two grandchildren, Jackson Mocny and Abigail Moore, as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and numerous friends and loved ones.
