Randy Neal

Randolph "Randy" Delana Neal, 76, of Troutman, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Neal was born August 31, 1936 in Henry County, VA and was the son of the late Harry Anderson Neal and Emma Joyner Neal. He attended Wilkes County Schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. In March 1982, Randy was married to Nan Brown Neal, who survives of the home. He was of the Baptist faith and was the owner and operator of Randy's Furniture Gallery for 30 years. In addition to his wife, Randy is survived by one daughter, Sandra N. Ketchem (Raymond) of Statesville, one son, Rodney Allen Neal (Wanda) of Lenior, three grandchildren, Andrew Ketchem, Philip Ketchem, Nicholas Neal, one great granddaughter, Lillie Drew Ketchem and one sister, Bernice N. Teague of Troutman. Mr. Neal was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Neal, one great grandson, Tanner Neal and one sister, Margaret N. Cleary. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Canessa Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Nicholson Funeral Home.
