Rachel Moore Privette

Mrs. Rachel Moore Privette, 78, of Statesville, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. Born in Rowan County on March 10, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Vance E. Moore and Elsie Basinger Moore.  Rachel was a retired dietician aid and was married to Mr. Greel Dean (Jack) Privette who survives. Also surviving are a son, Greel Eugene (Jackie) Privette of the home, three brothers, Curtis Moore and wife, Shirley of Hiddenite, Jerry Lee Moore and special friend, Betty of Statesville and Vance Moore and special friend, Nancy of New Jersey, a granddaughter, Leah Fay Privette and great grandchildren: Zayta McKenzie, Mashiaha Sley and Geico Saul. Additional survivors include brothers-in-law: James Privette (Donna) and Frank Privette , a sister-in-law, Sylvia Privette and numerous nieces and nephews. Services celebrating Rachel’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Terry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
