Peggy Jean McDowell

We gather here today to celebrate the life of Peggy Jean McDowell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Peggy was born on December 9, 1948, in Randolph, County. She filled the lives of those around her with love and kindness until she passed away on December 15, 2023, at Atrium Health Lexington ,NC.

Peggy had a vibrant personality that endeared her to everyone she met. She had a deep love for her family and cherished being called "Granny." Her great-grandbabies held a special place in her heart, and she always showered them with affection. Peggy's devotion to her loved ones was unwavering throughout her life.

One of Peggy's great joys was spending time at the beach and mountains. She found solace and tranquility in the beauty of nature.  Peggy embraced the serenity of these places wholeheartedly.

As we gather to pay our respects, we invite you to join us for the Celebration of Life service at Hillside Park Baptist Church in Thomasville on December 23, 2023. The service will commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 11:30 AM. Hillside Park Baptist Church, situated at 7593 E Holly Grove Road where she was a lifelong member.

Besides leaving behind cherished memories, Peggy is survived by Jesse McDowell Jr and Paul Greene, Jean Glance and Scott Glance, Charles McDowell, Scott Glance Jr  and Leandra Glance, Tyler Glance  and Brittany Glance,  Cord McDowell, Tristan Fields , Savannah McDowell ,C.J. McDowell , Jamie Prysoc and her favorite people her great grandchildren Scott Glance III , Emily Glance, Jack Glance, and Joseph Glance. She also leaves behind her brothers Charles Lineberry and Roy Lineberry. 

Peggy Jean McDowell's presence in our lives will be greatly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May we find solace in the memories we shared and carry her love with us always.
