Mrs. Peggy Ann Kuykendall Amox, 72, of Statesville, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 16, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Earl Kuykendall and Estelle Reynolds Kuykendall. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was a graduate of Statesville High School in 1969. She became a wife of 45 years on October 11, 1969, marrying George Nolan Amox, Sr. She will be truly missed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, George Nolan Amox, Jr. of Hampstead, N.C., two daughters, Celia Lujan and Cindy Amox both of Statesville, two brothers, Joseph Earl Kuykendal and Phillip Reynolds Kuykendal both of Statesville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Halley Leeann Amox, Amber Briann Amox, Aurora Elena Amox, Lydia Estelle Amox, Ruby Catherine Amox, and great grandchildren: Khloe Victoria Amox, Alex Josel-Mejia Amox and Kayden Naill-Casey Amox. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the National Cemetery in Salisbury with Bishop Lee Walker officiating.
