Peggy Jane Jackson Pait

Peggy Jane Jackson Pait, 78 of Trinity, died Friday, January 12, 2024, at her son’s home after a period of declining health.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 18, 1945, to the late John Jackson and Lilly Mae Galloway. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Jackson.

Peggy had a green thumb and could grow anything. She loved vegetable and flower gardening, sewing, shopping on QVC, riding horses and going for walks. She attended Ashland Baptist Church for many years and then went to New Grace Baptist Church which she loved. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Johny Pait (Patty), Raymond Pait (Angie Staley), a daughter, Mary Pait, four grandchildren, Ashton Pait, Cody Pait, Brooke Wooten, Justin Pait, six great-grandchildren, Noah, Connor, Hailey, Gavin, Maddie, Bryson, four brothers, James Jackson, Rudy Jackson, W.G. Jackson, Glenn Jackson and a half sister, Carolyn Ellisor.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm at New Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Lunsford officiating.
