Dr. Paul Colin Steadman was born September 24, 1936 in Huntsville, Alabama to Arlie Paul Steadman and Virginia Caroline (Jurney) Steadman. He graduated from Mooresville High School, received his Associate of Arts from Gardner Webb College and his Bachelor of Science from Wake Forest University. After Wake Forest, Mr. Steadman was a high school teacher and coached football, basketball, and baseball before returning to school to pursue a dental degree. After retiring from his dental practice, Dr. Steadman served as the "Team Dentist" for the Starmount High School football team. He lived in quiet peace on his mountain home in Hamptonville before moving to support his mother at her residence in Statesville, NC. In his last years, Dr. Steadman received excellent care at the North Carolina Veterans Home in Salisbury.
