Paul H. EtchellsJr.Passed away Monday, May 25th After a brief illness at Thomasville MedicalCentersurrounded by members ofhis lovingfamily.Paul was born in Providence Rhode Island to the latePaul Sr.and Joan Etchellsof Exeter Rhode Island. He was a proud member of the US Army serving 13 years from 1980-1993. Paul was a devoted father, grandfather, andgreat grandfather. He always said it was his family that gave him the most pride. His every breath was to make sure his family was cared for and loved. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Paul always went out of his way to make sure that anyonewho was in contact with had a smile on their face. Paul lovedto play with his grandchildren,to go camping,fishing, and inhis early years to work on cars,and of course listen to his favoritemusic.Paul worked intheconstruction field, tree service, and for Stanley Bostich in East Greenwich, RI before movingout of the state in 1990 to live in Georgia,Nevada, Alabama, and finallysettling for his senior years in Thomasville North Carolina. Paul leaves behind his five children sonStevenChappel and his wife Shirley of Camden Alabama, daughters Annette Coutu and her husband Joel Sr.of Coventry Rhode Island, NikiRougierof Opelika Alabama, Amanda Etchellsof Thomasville North Carolina, his sonPaul Etchells IIIand his wife Beth Johnson of Thomasville North Carolina, his16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and the love of his life Laura Etchellsof Lexington North Carolina. Paul is predeceased by his grandson Joel Coutu Jr.,and granddaughters Michaela Etchellsand Rowan Etchells, and his sister Dian Breault.Pauls final wish was to be remembered as theloving father, grandfather, and great grandfather that he was and to have a private memorial in North Carolina, Alabama, and his home state of Rhode Island. His family will be planning these memorials at a later date due to the pandemic.
