Ollie Mae (Carney) Cameron

There is laughter in heaven now. Ollie Mae Cameron has taken residence there. It has to be a great day. She is reunited with her family and bickering with her sister Betty. Ollie Mae Carney was born on June 30, 1923 in Nashville, Tennessee to William Glayden Carney and Elizabeth Mayfield Carney. She was the oldest of six and the last to leave this earth. Her youngest brother was long time Statesville resident Earl Carney. Ollie Mae was a model, a wife, an insurance agent, a very special Aunt, and most of all a free spirit who enjoyed life and all its challenges. She spent most of her life in Tennessee and moved to Statesville in 2006. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19 at Autumn Care of Statesville. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Sissy Carney-Groce, Saundra Carney, Skip Carney, Don Carney and Rick Carney and anyone who was lucky enough to know her. Ollie Mae believed.
