Robert Nathan "Nate" Tatum, 23, of Olin, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at his home. Mr. Tatum was born March 29, 1990, in Iredell County and was the son of Robert Chad Tatum and Marcie DeAnn Miller. He was a graduate of Iredell County schools and he was engaged to be married to Brittnay Lynn Geiger, who survives. Mr. Tatum was employed with Tube Specialists where he worked as a welder and he was of the Baptist Faith. Nate was a quiet man and soft spoken. He was a hard working man who loved his family, especially his fianc� Brittnay and their two sons, Robert Ian and Mason Lee Tatum and enjoyed spending time with his "buddies". In addition to his parents, Chad Tatum and Marcie Miller, and his fianc� Brittnay and sons, Ian and Mason, Nate is survived by a brother, Joshua Lee Miller of Statesville, paternal grandparents, Bobby and Retha Tatum of Olin along with his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Diane Miller of Statesville and Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by one uncle, Chuck Miller of Statesville and Bradenton, FL, his fianc�s parents, Robert and Robin Geiger and a host of "good buddies", uncles, aunts, and cousins. Graveside funeral services for Nate will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, March 24, 2014, in the Olin Cemetery. The family will speak with friends following the graveside funeral services. In lieu of flowers, contributions welcomed for the benefit of Nate's boys, Ian and Mason Tatum, 185 Treebark Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
