Nannie Alice Guynn

Nannie Alice Guynn (Smith), born on August 27, 1940, in Surry County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, at the age of 84.

Nannie was a dedicated worker with over 15 years of service in furniture manufacturing at Bassett Furniture. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her love for the outdoors and the cherished moments she spent with her family. As a devoted member of the Salvation Army, she found joy and purpose in her faith and community.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gaither Smith; mother, Sarah Hiatt; and sisters, Gypsy Whicker and Dorothy Parker. Nannie’s memory will be lovingly carried on by her son, David Ayers, and his wife, Julie, along with numerous friends and extended family members who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

At this time, no services will be held in her honor. However, the family is accepting flowers as a tribute to Nannie’s life and the happiness she brought to those around her. Nannie will be remembered for her enduring spirit and the loving legacy she leaves behind.
