In Loving Memory of Becky Nannie Rebecca Parris Edwards Oct. 24, 1939 - Oct. 29, 2019 Lexington - Our Gracious Heavenly Father finally called upon our Mother to come Home and to rest her wearied body and soul. Nannie Becky Parris Edwards, 80, of Lexington, NC, passed away on October 29, 2019, at her home with her faithful and loving daughter, companion, and caregiver by her side, and she was a daughter of the late Oliver Reed and Marshall Smith Parris. She was a homemaker most of her life focusing on raising her children. A woman of faith, she was always active in the church, as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, Youth, and in the nursery, wherever the family lived. Becky loved all kinds of flowers, songbirds, butterflies, playing the piano, cooking, trying new recipes, spending time with children of all ages, and especially anyone who served in the Armed Forces and First-Responders, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, extended family, and friends at holiday gatherings; these special times are still remembered fondly by family members to this day. Becky was a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Donna Parris Russell, Carolyn Parris Clodfelter, and niece, Lisa Russell Motley. She is survived by her children, Cheri Caison McCullough (Vince) of Lexington, Elaine Caison of Archdale, Charles Chip Caison (Andrea) of California, and David Caison (Christy) of Camden, NC; 4 grandchildren, Charles Casey, Samantha, Chase, and C.J.; and 2 nieces, 1 nephew, many great-nieces and great-nephews.
