Mitchell Glenn Mesiemore

Mitchell “Mickey” Glenn Mesiemore, 79, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House.  He was born in Iredell County on August 22, 1935 to the late James Harold and Alma Ruth Johnson Mesiemore. Mickey was a graduate of Iredell County Schools and was a member of Eufola Baptist Church.  In 1991, he married Norma Jean Hodges Mesiemore, who survives.  He was self-employed as owner/operator of Mickey’s Office Sales and Supplies. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie, Johnny, and Leroy Mesiemore. Mr. Mesiemore is survived by his wife Norma Jean of Statesville; one brother, James Mesiemore of Troutman; five sisters, Carol M. Gaither (Jimmy), Louise M. Hobbs (Billy), both of Statesville, Pam M. Dooley of Texas, Linda M. Dannaby of Florida, and Judy M. Gross of Florida; three children, two granddaughters; a special nephew, Ronnie Mesiemore, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Otis Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
