Michael Steven Tetter

Michael Steven Tetter, 64, of Lexington, NC passed away November 23, 2020 at Hospice of Davidson County. He was born August 10, 1956 in Lexington, NC to the late David Odell Tetter and Rachel (Leonard) Tetter. Michael spent his childhood in Lexington and graduated from Central Davidson High School in 1974.Michael was a graduate of Haywood Community College in Clyde, NC. His work in Finance took him to Norfolk, VA where he met his wife Cindy. He was then transferred to Statesboro, GA. Michael later moved back to his hometown of Lexington with his wife and family. It was there that he worked as a Forman for Lexington Furniture Industries for over 20 years. After his time with Lexington Furniture, Michael continued to work in the manufacturing industry until his retirement in 2020. Michael is survived by his wife Cynthia Gaskell Tetter; sons Derek Tetter (Miranda) of Taylorsville, NC, Brandon Tetter of Lexington, NC, stepson Andrew Gaskell (Tricia) of Lexington, NC; brother Jimmy Dell Tetter (Susan) of Rocky Mount, NC and sister Patricia Russell (Brian) of Arcadia, FL and 7 grandchildren: Tahlia Tetter, Kindred Tetter, Trista Gaskell, Maizy Gaskell, Kaitlyn Tetter, Haiden Tetter, and Eva Tetter. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wanda Louise Tetter. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private memorial service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
