Michael "Mickey" Sanders Weatherford

Michael “Mickey” Sanders Weatherford, 40, of Statesville, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at Davis Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mickey was born in Iredell County on March 23, 1975, and was the son of Billy Ervin and Jane Marilyn Stevenson Weatherford.  He was a graduate of West Iredell High School and a member of Concord Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, Mickey is survived by one brother, Christopher Bryon Weatherford and his wife Angie and their daughter, Chase.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Howard and Ann Bentley and their son John, Cynthia and Wayne Mills, Julian and Cindy Stevenson, Nancy Allen, and Judy Mathis along with a number of cousins. A graveside memorial service for Mickey Weatherford will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2015, in the Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Goodman officiating.  The family will visit with friends following the graveside service.
