Mary Frances (Taylor) Wilson

Mrs. Mary Frances Taylor Wilson, 87, of Statesville, passed away, Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Wilson was born May 29, 1929 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Everett and Katie Compton Taylor. She attended Iredell County schools and was married to the late Asahel Jeremiah “AJ” Wilson, who died on September 5, 1989. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was retired from Rental Uniform. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by one daughter, Linda W. Lockman of Statesville, one son, Keith Wilson (Jane Pope) of Statesville, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two brothers, Jim Taylor, Bob Taylor and one sister, Dot Galliher. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Ned Lockman, III, one brother, Kenneth Taylor and one sister, Ruby Bost. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 426 Jane Sowers Rd., Statesville, NC 28677 with Bishop Ray Ruppe officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Active pallbearers will be members of the Wilson family.
