Mary Windsor Sharpe

February 28, 1928 — October 3, 2019

Mary Ellen Windsor Sharpe, 91, of Statesville, died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Iredell County on February 28, 1928 to the late William Andrew Windsor and Jettie Holland Windsor. She was also preceded in death by her husband James S. Sharpe and her faithful cat companion, Tiger.
Mary grew up as a member of Hebron Baptist Church and remains a member. Then, graduated from Harmony High School in 1945. Met her love which she married in 1947, and raised her family while working in different industries around Statesville. She spent her last 24 years before retiring as a secretary at Alex Greene Buick, GMC. She enjoyed good southern cooking, flowers/gardening, and keeping her mind busy with reading and puzzles. Her greatest love was her family.
Survivors include 2 sons; Dennis Sharpe (Alice) of West Jefferson, NC, Ronald Sharpe of New York, NY, a daughter; Karen Arrington (Lester) of Statesville, 5 grandchildren; Tara Phipps (Chad), Krystal Arrington, Rusty Arrington (Jenny), Suzanne Randolph (Tim), Mary Ann Collins and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 7, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. William Wease officiating.

NE South Tower, Ste. 400, Atlanta, GA 30325, or Alzheimer’s Association Eastern NC Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Ave. Ste, 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
