Mary Frances Allen Marlow, 82, of Harmony, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Davis Regional Medical Center.
Mary was born in Lucasville, OH on March 21, 1937 and was the daughter of Clarence and Goldie Holzer Allen.
Mary was a graduate of McDermott High School and on November 2, 1957 she married Harold Stamey Marlow and together they shared 53 years of marriage until his passing in January 2011.
Mary worked at Davis Regional Medical Center and retired as a ward clerk in the maternity ward. Mary had the privilege of typing her own grandchildren’s birth certificates.
Mary loved being outdoors. She enjoyed working her flower and vegetable gardens with her daughter. As her vision began to deteriorate, it became more difficult to be as active, but Mary would still get out and weed her gardens, much to many of her neighbor’s surprise.
Mary was known for homemade pizzas and together with her husband, they would make homemade pizzas for family and friends every Saturday night. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sharon Marlow of Harmony along with two sons, Timothy Marlow (Sandra) of Harmony and Anthony Marlow (Kelly) of Gastonia. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Timothy Marlow (Tiffany) of 29 Palms, CA, Tiffany Marlow of Mocksville and Annie Marlow (Lane) of Maiden along with six great-grandchildren, Sean, Nevada, Owen, Alanis, Stevie, & Finn as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the fall to commemorate the life of Mary Marlow.
