Mary Karry Leighton

Mrs. Karry Gideon Leighton, 77, of Salisbury, NC passed away at her home on June 24, 2020. She was born in Maria, Canada as the youngest of 17 siblings to Lawrence and Evelyne Gideon. Mrs. Leighton served for 20 years as Activities Director at Donegan Square Retirement Villa in Florida before relocating to North Carolina. She was raised from age 8 in Auburn, NH by her sister, Mary Heselton, and Marys husband, Howard Heselton Sr., along with their children Howard, Jr., Brian, and June Heselton. Karry and her husband, Robert, retired to RV full time throughout the United States. Karrys and Roberts favorite RV trip was to Alaska. In addition to her parents, Karry is predeceased by her husband Robert Hamilton Leighton, Sr., son David Levesque, and 14 brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters Wendy Beckham (Todd) of Salisbury, NC, Karen MacManus of Raphine, Va., and son Alan Thorgerson of Concord, NH. Also surviving her are sisters Margaret Johnson of Westmanland, Maine and Lorraine Thibault of Spring Hill, Florida, and grandchildren Addison, Hope, and Andrew Beckham and Zack Congrove.
