Mary Lois Millsaps Fulbright, 74, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Iredell County on April 26, 1940 to the late William Talmadge Millsaps and Carrie Marlow Millsaps. Mrs. Fulbright was a graduate of Central High School and was a member of Eufola Baptist Church. On April 12, 1974, she married Melvin E. Fulbright who survives. They had over 40 years of marriage before her passing. She was a retired textile worker and had worked in daycare. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Eugene (Chip) Fulbright and a sister, Bonnie Sue Millsaps. She is survived by her husband, Melvin; two sons, Jeffery Mecimore (Vickie) of Statesville and Randall Thompson (Trish) of Appling, GA; a daughter, Kimberly Gober of Statesville; three brothers, R.F. "Bill" Millsaps (Jo Ann) of Statesville, William King Millsaps (Bonnie) of Statesville, and Rick Millsaps (Barbara) of Statesville; and two sisters, Geraldine Millsaps Connoly of Statesville and Naomi Millsaps Mitcham (James) of Mathews, NC. She is further survived by three grandsons, Tommy Mecimore, Rex Thompson, and Timmy Mecimore; four granddaughters, Melody Ward, Kelsi Thompson, Jamie Gober, and Kristy Johnson Sipes; and five great grandchildren, Landon Johnson, Macie Gober, Abbi Sipes, Landon Sipes, and Logan Sipes. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Eufola Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Abberger officiating. Burial will follow in the New Sterling ARP Church Cemetery.
