Martha Jane (Donaldson) Bell

Martha Jane Donaldson Bell, 69, of Statesville, passed away, Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House following a period of declining health. Mrs. Bell was born December 2, 1947 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late George Lee Donaldson and Ella Mae Carson Donaldson. She was a graduate of Scotts High School and is married to W. Ray Bell, who survives. She is a member of New Amity ARP Church and was a nurse assistant at Davis Hospital. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Bell (Tracy) of N. Wilkesboro, Eric Bell (Kellyn) of Statesville; one daughter, Jane Bell of Statesville, one granddaughter, Taylor Bell (Dwight), one great grandson, Mason Doty, one brother, Robert Donaldson, two sisters, Linda Donaldson and Peggy Smith. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Donaldson. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at New Amity ARP Church with Rev. Dr. Earl Linderman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the church.
