Marilyn Leigh Feimster White, 53, of Union Grove, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Raleigh, NC on May 30, 1960 to Shirley Jackson Feimster Deal and the late William Jennings Feimster. Marilyn was a graduate of North Iredell School and had attended Mitchell College. On September 3, 1988, she married Michael Lee White and they had over 25 years of marriage before her passing. Her first job was working with her father and mother at Iredell Livestock. She was disability retired from Carolina Rehab where she worked in billing administration. Mrs. White was an accomplished medical insurance clerk who took great pride in her work. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Mrs. White had a beautiful singing voice. She loved to do needlework, cross-stitch, flower arrangements, and was a great home decorator. She dearly loved her great nephew, Austin. Marilyn was a "Daddy's girl" and she is having a wonderful reunion with her Dad in heaven. She was a loving and caring Mother who will be missed by all that knew her. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Feimster. Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Michael; her mother, Shirley Feimster Deal; a son, Jarrod Michael White, and a brother, Calvin Feimster. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for Mrs. White will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2014 at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. J. R. Speece officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the church.
