Margaret Lundy

Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Loyd Lundy, 93, of Olin, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Lundy was born Sept. 20, 1917 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late John Wesley Loyd and Dottie Bowers Loyd. She attended Iredell County schools and was a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church. On August 4, 1934, she was married to the late Hugh Clarence Lundy, who died in July 1991. Mrs. Lundy is survived by four children, Hilda L. Moose (Carl, Sr.) of Salisbury, Harold M. Lundy of Statesville, Pat L. Hardee (Fred) of Laurel Springs, NC, C. Donald Lundy of Statesville, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister, Carolyn Alexander of Harmony. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Denny L. Lundy and one brother, Edgar Loyd. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service. Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Lundy's nephews.
