Margaret Cash

Margaret Stafford Cash, 89, of Statesville, died on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Gordon Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Cash was born May 24, 1921 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Orville E. Stafford and Hattie S. Stafford. She was a graduate of Iredell County Schools and was married to the late William Mack Cash, who died in 1998. She was a former member of Race Street U.M.C. and was retired from the Sherriff's Department as a Matron Dispatcher. She also loved Bingo and Crocheting. She is survived by one daughter, Ann C. Powell of Statesville and two grandsons, Bobby D. Cash and William Curtis Powell, both of Statesville. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cash was preceded in death by one son, Rick Cash, four brothers and three sisters. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sat., April 30, 2011 in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. David Cash officiating.
