Mae Lois White

Mae Lois Rankin White, 72, of Statesville died Thursday, January 19, 2023.
She was born in Iredell County on July 14, 1950, to the late Nathaniel Rankin and Willie Mae Cowan Rankin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin White.
Mae Lois worked in the healthcare industry as a CNA prior to her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and cowboy movies, and working in her flowers. She was a member of Refuge Church of God where she was in charge of the Kitchen Committee. Mae Lois took care of all her nieces and nephews, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Priest Dalton, two grandchildren, Tyler Dalton and Austin Dalton, three sisters, Sadie Campbell (Jerry), Mary Cotton, Mildred Booker (Roosevelt), a special niece, Angie Rankin and a special stepdaughter, Pam Hunt, stepsons, Craig White, Greg White, Charles White, Rex White, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 5890 S. River Church Rd., Woodleaf, NC 27054, with Pastor Sadie Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
