Mae Davis

Unia Mae Williams Davis, of Olin, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Davis was born in Iredell County to the late Coit and Julia Barker Williams and was a graduate of Union Grove High School. She was retired and was married to Homer James Davis, who survives of the home. Mae and Homer were both members of Taylor Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Paula McConnell (Lynn) of Statesville, two grandchildren, Patrick and Lindsay McConnell and one brother, G.W. Williams. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Cecil and Charlie Starling and one step-son, James Scott Davis. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Taylor Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Carl Ray Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 237 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
